French contemporary design in a historic building
The bespoke furniture, accessories, drapes and light fixtures in the living were carefully chosen to emanate peace. In the living,we find the Oklahoma armchair from Marie’s Corner, covered in Pierre Frey tapestry.
The TV furniture in the living is, in fact, a console transformed by Grange, with an interior sliding rail. When visitors are in the TV is hidden by the console, while in the evening, it comes out and the family can spend a relaxing time.
As regards the entrance hall, we chose a light emulsion paint for two reasons: the owners were looking for a light home and ivory was the color they also agreed on.
As a novelty in this interior design, we have the entrance hall furniture, which is in fact a hanger looking like an elegant piece of furniture. Clothes are hanging behind the furniture and keys are deposited behind the mirror also hiding three shelves… so that the aspect is an elegant one, which hides clothes or small objects left randomly. The furniture was custom-made by Grange.
Of course, the La Cornue gas stove became the piece of resistance and color spot of this kitchen. The dining area is highlight by its fresh chromatic, while the chairs are the Green model from Marie’s Corner.
For the boys’ bathroom, we chose dynamic finishes (multicolor mosaic) and a minimalist but extremely judiciously organized furniture.
The main bathroom benefits from a special project where bespoke furniture, made by our team, was included.
The full success of this project is one of the absolute proof a work, as difficult as it might seem, can be successful if the equation includes the professionalism of a designers team and a good communication between the beneficiaries and the work team.
